Introduction
In this project, I will discuss the relationships among expenditure of education, healthcare, military and gross domestic product(GDP) of G20 countries in last 7 years. Since healthcare, military and education are most important spending partials of a country, these three expenditures will tell me what a nation cares about and focuses on.
First, let’s take a look at these expenditures of G20 Countries, and find out which country grows fast in healthcare and educational expenditure.
Education Spending of G20 Countries (2011-2015)
According to the above graph, United States has the highest spending in education from 2011 to 2015. Japan has the second highest spending and Germany, United Kingdom, France, and Brazil have similar amount of education spending. Also,Indonesia has the lowest education spending in among the countries in the graph. However, there are few countries do not publish their education spending, like China, Saudi Arabia.
Fast Growing Nations based on Education Spending (2011-2016 fixed value)
According to the above graph, United States also grows fastest in education. Even though France, Germany, Japan have a higher education spending in the first graph, they also reduced heavily in education spending. Other nations in the graph are relatively same through 2011 to 2016, like Austrilia, India, Turkey.
Fast Growing Nations based on Education Spending (2011-2016 Ratio)
In the geo-map above, I use a ratio of annual growth of education spending to identify a fastest growing country. As you can see, some nations have positve growth rate, like U.S., but some nations have negative ratio which means that these nations reduce their education spending through these years. According to the ratio, South Korea has the highest annual growth rate in the map.
Healthcare Spending of G20 Countries
According to the above graph, United States has the highest spending in healthcare from 2011 to 2015. Japan has a higher spending but its healthcare spending decreased from 2011 to 2015. However, the healthcare expenditure of China is the third highest and increased in those years.
Fast Growing Nations based on Healthcare Spending (2011-2015 fixed value)
According to the above graph, United States has the highest amount of increased healthcare spending, and China has the second highest amount. However, Japan reduced the most in healthcare spending. From the graph, the majority of nations have a decreased healthcare spending.
Fast Growing Nations based on Healthcare Spending (2011-2015 Ratio)
In the geo-map above, a ratio of growth rate for healthcare is used to identify the fastest growing country in healthcare. As you can see, China has the highest ratio which is 70.89%, and United States has the second highest ratio. Most nations showed in the map have a negative growth rate in healthcare which gives a same conclusion from last graph.
Military Spending of G20 Countries
